It Wasn’t Me
by Karen Eastlandpublished onThis is the story of a woman grappling with PTSD, endlessly reliving the moment she was run over by a bus. Her mind can’t accept her new reality, and she searches in vain for the person she used to be. Denial becomes her refuge: "It wasn’t me, it must’ve been another."
Though inspired by my own experience, I believe many of us can relate to this kind of distress—the horror that plays on a loop when life as we know it suddenly changes.
